One of my favorite times of the year is our annual team retreat to Round Top. As our team has grown, this trip has become even more meaningful. We truly value the chance to step away from the day-to-day, spend time together, and create memories outside of the office. It is a time to slow down, laugh, connect, and be inspired together, and there is no better place for that than Round Top, Texas.
This year, for the second year in a row, we stayed at The Glamp Inn, and it was the perfect home base for our group of nearly twenty. The setup allowed everyone to have their own cozy space while still feeling connected as a group. We planned a full three-night itinerary, balancing sourcing for clients, shopping for fun, team time, and a few extra special moments along the way.
We arrived Monday evening and settled into our teepees before heading to a private dinner at The Frenchie. It was the kind of evening that sets the tone for the entire trip. Golden hour light, fresh cocktails, and a beautiful meal shared together. It felt relaxed, celebratory, and like the perfect way to kick everything off.
Tuesday morning came early, and we started the day at Marburger Farm Antique Show. We began with mimosas and made sure not to miss the opening. There is always so much energy that first morning, and it never gets old. We spent hours walking the fields, sourcing pieces, and taking it all in. One of my favorite parts is getting to reconnect with vendors we love, including Tenaya and her incredible artwork. There is something so special about seeing these pieces in person and finding those one-of-a-kind items that we can bring into our projects.
Later that day, Monogram Appliances invited our team to their beautifully curated activation. It was such a thoughtful experience. We enjoyed a light snack, had a drink, and learned more about their newest line. It was a nice pause in the day and a chance for our team to connect with a brand we admire.
That evening, we switched gears and had a team scavenger hunt around the fields, which ended up being one of the most fun parts of the trip. It brought out everyone’s competitive side in the best way and gave us a chance to explore Round Top in a different way. We wrapped up the night with dinner at Boon & Co, sharing stories from the day and continuing to soak in the time together.
The next morning, we headed to Blue Hills for another round of shopping. It would not be a Round Top trip without stopping for a baked potato, which has become a bit of a tradition for us. After a full morning, we slowed things down that afternoon with much-needed foot massages, which felt like the perfect reset after so much time on our feet.
One of the most special moments of the trip was a custom embroidery experience with Rumi Lane. My dear friend Gab, who owns Rumi Lane, came out to Round Top and created the most beautiful custom pieces for our team. She added embroidery and patchwork to our totes and sweatshirts, making each one feel so personal. It meant so much to be able to collaborate with a friend in that way, and it made the experience even more memorable. She also joined us for dinner that evening, which made it all the more special.
On our final night, we gathered for a team dinner that truly felt like the perfect way to close out the trip. We spent the evening at Junk Gypsy, where every detail was thoughtful and full of personality. Cocktails were served by Lady Elaine, and we enjoyed a beautiful dinner prepared by Twisted Roots. The night ended with her famous Texas-sized desserts, which were just as fun as they were delicious.
During cocktail hour, we met some incredible rug vendors at Junk Gypsy, and it quickly turned into one of those unexpected highlights of the trip. Several members of our team ended up purchasing vintage rugs on the spot. It was spontaneous, exciting, and such a perfect example of what makes Round Top so special. You never know what you are going to find.
Looking back, I feel so grateful for this team and the time we were able to spend together in Round Top. These trips are about so much more than sourcing. They are about connection, creativity, and building something meaningful together. As our team continues to grow, these moments become even more important.
If you have never been to Round Top, I cannot recommend it enough. It is truly a one-of-a-kind experience filled with inspiration, incredible antiques, and so much charm. If you are planning a trip, be sure to check out our Round Top guide for all of our favorite spots and tips.
And of course, I will be sharing more from this trip, including some of my favorite finds and what I wore throughout the week.
